I’ve completed the application process. What happens next?

As you complete the online application, our real-time home loan approval process begins by checking your credit history and assessing your eligibility for a loan.

Once the online application process has been completed, you will either be:

  • approved;
  • referred to a home loan expert to complete your assessment; or
  • notified that we weren't able to offer you a loan at this time.

Steps for buyers

If you’re approved, you will be able to buy the named property up to a certain amount. Keep in mind that we’ll require a copy of the contract once it is signed. In some cases, we may need a copy of the contract prior to approval in order to value the property.

  1. You will receive an email from us outlining the steps you need to take to settle your loan
  2. You'll then receive your settlement pack from our mortgage services provider, MSA National. Importantly, this will include the details for your ID check. Follow the details in your settlement pack to complete this step
  3. Your conveyancer will then organise settlement directly with us on the appointed day and we’ll provide the funds to purchase the property
  4. Once you’ve transferred your deposit, the seller will receive payment and you’ll receive the keys to your new property
  5. Then you can expect your Qantas Points to land in your account within 6-8 weeks after settlement

Steps for refinancing your home

Once your loan is approved, the steps for refinancing are similar to those for home buyers.

  1. You will receive an email from us outlining the steps you need to take to settle your loan
