I am not an Australian resident, can I still apply for a Qantas Money Home Loan?

Unfortunately, no. As is the case with most home loan lenders in Australia, you must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident living in Australia to be eligible for a Qantas Money Home Loan.

While some lenders will lend to foreign citizens or expat Australians living abroad who want to buy investment property in Australia; there are usually higher interest rates attached to such loans and a larger deposit is often required.

Keep in mind that certain foreigners and visa holders may also be required to pay a surcharge on stamp duty and possibly land tax, depending on which state they want to purchase in.
