To apply for the Qantas Premier Platinum credit card you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Earn at least $35,000 per year
- Be a permanent Australian resident
- Have an Australian mobile and residential address
- Be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member
- Be a new primary cardholder

Up to 80,000 bonus Qantas Points offer is available to newly approved Qantas Premier Platinum credit card account holders who apply by 29 November 2023, 11:59pm (AEDT). 60,000 Qantas Points will be awarded when $3,000 or more is spent on eligible purchases within 3 months from card approval. An additional 20,000 bonus Qantas Points offer is available to members who have not earned Qantas Points on a credit or charge card into their Qantas Frequent Flyer account within the previous 12 months from card application (limited to one per Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards member only); and apply for a Qantas Premier Platinum credit card by 29 November 2023, 11:59pm (AEDT). Members are not eligible for more than one first-time Qantas Points earning credit cardholder bonus within the last 12 months. In the event of multiple new cardholder bonus points offers in the market for the same offer period, eligible members will be provided with the highest bonus points offer. For applications submitted by 29 November 2023, 11:59pm (AEDT), you will be billed a discounted annual fee of $349 for the first year upon activation of your account. The standard annual fee, currently $399, will be billed each anniversary from card approval in subsequent years. An additional cardholder annual fee, currently $50, applies per additional cardholder. These fees are subject to change. Offer ends 29 November 2023.
New Qantas Premier Platinum credit cardholders only. Apply by 29 November 2023, 11:59pm (AEDT). Your total balance transfers may not exceed 80% of your credit limit. The 0% p.a. interest rate applies to balances transferred within 90 days of card approval, for a period of 12 months. The 12 month promotional period commences once the Balance Transfer is processed. At the end of the Balance Transfer period, the interest rate on any outstanding transferred balance will revert to the variable Cash Advance Rate, currently 21.99% p.a. You are not eligible for interest free days on retail purchases while you have a Balance Transfer on your account. This means while you have a Balance Transfer on your account, any further purchases will be charged daily interest at the applicable Retail Purchase Rate currently 19.99% p.a. The Qantas Premier Platinum Primary Cardholders are entitled to 2 single-entry complimentary lounge invitations per anniversary year for use at domestic Qantas Club lounges or Qantas operated International Business Lounges (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley Terminal International Business Lounge) in accordance with the Qantas Premier Credit Card Airline Benefit Terms and Conditions. Use of the lounge invitations is in accordance with the Qantas Lounge Invitation Terms and Conditions.
The Qantas Premier Platinum Primary Cardholder is entitled to the Companion Fare benefit once per year. Discount applies to selected domestic flights only when two to nine passengers (including the Primary Cardholder) travel together on the same booking number, day and flight(s). Flights must be booked through Qantas Premier Concierge and paid in full at the time of booking using the primary cardholder's Qantas Premier Platinum credit card. The interest free period applies when you pay your full closing balance from your last statement of account by the payment due date (excluding any fixed payment option balance which isn’t due for payment by that payment due date). No interest free period is available on cash advances or balance transfers. Whilst you have a balance transfer you will be charged interest on your daily unpaid balance.
Instalment plan offers are subject to eligibility and only available if your account is and remains in good standing. Your instalment plan uses part of your existing credit limit. As you pay off your instalment plan, the amount you pay off will become available for you to use again as part of your credit limit at the standard annual percentage rates applicable to your account. While you have an instalment plan, payments will be first applied to any initial interest charge or instalment due, even if you have other balances accruing interest at a higher rate. The first Qantas Purchase on your account within 6 months of card approval will automatically convert to a 0% p.a. interest rate for 6 months from the date the transaction is processed. Any unpaid balance at the end of the 6 month period will revert to the variable annual percentage rate for retail purchases, currently 19.99% p.a. A Qantas Purchase under this Special Promotion is any of the following when paying with your Qantas Premier credit card: flights booked directly through qantas.com and Qantas Contact Centres; Qantas flights booked through selected travel agents and processed with Qantas being identified to the card scheme as the relevant merchant; Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Club membership, joining and annual fees; Qantas Gift Vouchers, and purchases from Qantas Marketplace.
