Standard Qantas Points earn of 1 Qantas Point per AU$1 equivalent foreign currency load will be credited to your account the next day.

Can I transfer the existing AUD I already have loaded on my card?

Yes. Transfers from your AUD wallet to a foreign currency wallet count as an eligible load for this offer.

What if I use the Qantas Travel Money card?

If you are still using the Qantas Travel Money card (built into your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership card) you are eligible for this offer. Simply register and load foreign currency before 12 August.

To earn bonus Qantas Points, Qantas Pay customers must register for this offer and load a minimum AU$1,000 equivalent of foreign currency to their account or transfer Australian Dollars (AUD) into foreign currency between 12:01 AM (AEST) on 15 July 2026 and 11:59 PM (AEST) on 12 August 2026 (“Promotion Period”). Eligible customers will receive 1,000 bonus Qantas Points for every cumulative AU$1,000 equivalent loaded in foreign currency during the Promotion Period, up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus points (or AU$10,000 equivalent FX). Bonus points are awarded only upon reaching a full AU$1,000 threshold and partial increments (e.g., amounts under $1,000 or between thresholds) will not trigger additional bonus points. This offer only applies when loading foreign currency directly to your account or transferring AUD into foreign currency. It excludes transfers between foreign currencies, transfers to another Qantas Pay card, or funds transferred back to AUD. Qantas Points will be credited to your account six to eight weeks after the Promotion Period ends. Payments made via BPAY® or Bank Transfer must clear within 3 business days of the promotion ending to be eligible. This offer may be extended or withdrawn at any time.
Eligible purchases exclude money orders, traveller’s cheques, gambling chips or purchasing foreign currencies in cash. We may amend these exclusions from time to time by notifying you in writing. You do not earn Qantas Points when loading Australian Dollars, on transfers between your existing foreign currency balances, on transfers between cards, when withdrawing funds at ATMs or when transferring funds to an external bank account. Purchases with government related bodies or that are reversed, refunded or charged-back are also ineligible for Qantas Points earn. Earn Rates: You will earn 1 Qantas Point per AU$1 equivalent loaded directly in foreign currency and when transferring Australian Dollars to foreign currency, and 1 Qantas Point per AU$1 equivalent on foreign currency spend. You will earn 1 Qantas Point for every AU$4 spent in Australian dollars. Qantas Points are calculated using the Qantas Pay Daily Rate as defined in the PDS, and may vary daily. Points on Domestic and International spend or Qantas Spend will be awarded as separate transactions at each month's statement period. Points on foreign currency load will be awarded after each transaction. Please allow up to 30 days for points to be credited to your account.
The Qantas Pay app works with eligible Qantas Pay cards on compatible iOS and Android devices. The Qantas Travel Money card (built into the back of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership Card) is not eligible for the Qantas Pay app. To use the Qantas Pay app, Qantas Pay customers must hold the standalone card, issued from 14 May 2024. Existing Qantas Travel Money cardholders can upgrade to a Qantas Pay card for use with the Qantas Pay app or via the website.
