Already a Qantas Frequent Flyer but don't have a Qantas Pay card?
Not a Qantas Frequent Flyer member yet?
No problem. If you’re an Australian resident aged 16 years of age or older, you can apply for complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership with the option of Qantas Pay, saving you $99.50. Once you're a Frequent Flyer member, simply apply for Qantas Pay.
Load money
Loading money onto your Qantas Pay card is easy. Choose from the following three options:
Instant Load (funds available immediately)
Need to access your funds immediately? Simply select 'Instant Load' via the Qantas Money app or website and - for a fee of just 0.5% - you can use your Mastercard® debit card or Visa debit card to load funds instantaneously.
Bank transfer (funds available the next business day)
Loading directly from your bank account using Bank Transfer is a great way to load or top up your balance, plus it's free. To make a Bank Transfer:
- Select ‘Bank Transfer’ via the Qantas Money app or website.
- Select the currencies and amounts you wish to load.
- Complete the transfer via your personal bank account.
Funds transferred before 2pm AEST/AEDST Monday to Friday will be available the next business day.
BPAY (funds available within 2-3 business days)
You can also load using BPAY and it's free. To load via BPAY:
- Select ‘BPAY’ via the Qantas Money mobile app or website.
- Select the currencies and amounts you wish to load.
- Complete the BPAY using the Biller code and Customer Reference Number that we’ve emailed to you.
Funds will be available within 2-3 business days.

Load AUD, spend worldwide. Headed to a country where we don’t offer a locked in rate? We’ve still got you covered - simply load Australian dollars and spend in the local currency of wherever you are.

Always remember to press ‘CREDIT’ when using Qantas Pay at merchants or ATMs.

Don’t use your Qantas Pay card as a security deposit for hotels as it may hold your funds for up to 30 days.
Use
Transfer money between currencies, cash out your leftover funds into your Australian bank account, or transfer funds in real time to other Qantas Pay cardholders.
Currency transfers
You can move money between any of our supported currencies - USD, GBP, EUR, THB, NZD, SGD, HKD, CAD, JPY, AED and AUD - using the Qantas Money app or website. Just select the currency you want to transfer from, enter the amount you’d like to transfer, then select the currency you want to transfer funds into. We’ll display the exchange rate and the amount of the new currency before you confirm your transfer, so you’ll always know your locked-in exchange rate3.
Card to card transfers
Need to perform an instant transfer to another Qantas Pay cardholder. Log in to your account and select ‘to another cardholder’.
Cash out
Cash out funds from your Qantas Pay facility to your personal Australian bank account. There are no fees or charges, and you can cash out as many currencies as you want.
Manage your card
Manage your Qantas Pay facility on the go and stay in control of your spending, wherever you are in the world.
Your account
supported currencies, transfer money instantly to other cardholders, monitor your balances, view your transaction history, update your details, and cash out the funds on your card to your Australian bank account at any time via the website.
Your default currency
Your default currency is the currency that will be automatically loaded when you deposit directly from your bank account using Bank Transfer or BPAY®, rather than via the app or website where you can choose to load in up to 10 different foreign currencies.4
Change your Qantas Pay PIN
You can choose a 4-digit card PIN as part of the card activation process and change it at any time online. Simply log in to Qantas Money website or the Qantas Money App:
- Select your Qantas Pay card,
- 'Manage’, then
- 'Change card PIN' where you will be prompted to enter your card CVC to verify it’s you
- Choose card PIN
- Confirm card PIN and then you are ready to go.
