When you make any purchase or cash advance in:

  • Foreign currency once converted to Australian dollars; and/or
  • Australian dollars (or any other currency), when either the merchant or its financial institution/payment processor is located or registered overseas, including transactions that involve dynamic currency conversion (that is where a transaction denominated in a foreign currency is converted to local currency which is a service that is offered by certain ATMs and merchants). The process of conversion and the exchange rates applied will be determined by the relevant ATM, merchant or dynamic currency conversion service provider as the case may be. We do not determine whether a Card transaction will be converted into local currency by the merchant or ATM and you may have to check with the relevant merchant or ATM provider.

Note: It may also not always be clear that the merchant or its financial institution/payment processor is located or registered outside Australia.

  1. The interest free period applies when you pay your full closing balance from your last statement of account by the payment due date (excluding any fixed payment option balance which isn’t due for payment by that payment due date). No interest free period is available on cash advances or balance transfers. Whilst you have a balance transfer you will be charged interest on your daily unpaid balance.

  2. $30 each time we do not receive the Minimum Payment Due and any Overdue Amount by the payment due date, debited to your Account after the payment due date. The Minimum Payment Due, any Overdue Amount, and payment due date are detailed on your statement of account. Late fee is based on the payment posting date and allows for 1 grace day after the payment due date before being charged.

  3. To opt into paper statements, you need to call us on 1300 992 700. A $2 fee applies every time a paper statement is issued and sent to your physical mailing address.

  4. This fee will be billed to your account when you choose to make a payment at Australia Post.

  5. The international transaction fee applies in addition to the international cash advance fee.

Up to 80,000 bonus Qantas Points offer is available to newly approved Qantas Premier Platinum credit card account holders who apply by 1 May 2024, 11:59pm (AEST). 60,000 Qantas Points will be awarded when $3,000 or more is spent on eligible purchases within 3 months from card approval. Purchases must be processed and charged to your account in the first 3 months from the account approval. An additional 20,000 bonus Qantas Points offer is available to members who have not earned Qantas Points on a credit or charge card into their Qantas Frequent Flyer account within the previous 12 months from card application (limited to one per Qantas Frequent Flyer or Qantas Business Rewards member only); and apply for a Qantas Premier Platinum credit card by 1 May 2024, 11:59pm (AEST). Members are not eligible for more than one first-time Qantas Points earning credit cardholder bonus within the last 12 months. In the event of multiple new cardholder bonus points offers in the market for the same offer period, eligible members will be provided with the highest bonus points offer. Eligible transactions do not include Cash Advances, Balance Transfers, Refunds, Chargebacks and Special Promotions. Bonus Qantas Points will ordinarily be credited within 6 - 8 weeks of meeting the spend criteria. Any bonus Qantas Points will be forfeited if you no longer hold or close your Qantas Premier Platinum Credit Card Account before they appear in your Qantas Frequent Flyer Account. Please note that the bonus Qantas Points will not be awarded if you are currently a primary cardholder of another Qantas Premier Everyday, Qantas Premier Platinum or Qantas Premier Titanium credit card, or have closed, or qualified for bonus Qantas Points on any of those Qantas Premier credit cards within the last 12 months. All rewards are subject to the Qantas Premier Credit Card Rewards Terms and Conditions. This offer is not available when closing or transferring from another Qantas branded credit card account or in conjunction with any other Qantas branded credit card offer.   8. Offer extended to 1 May 2024. For applications submitted by 1 May 2024, 11:59pm (AEST), you will be billed a discounted annual fee of $349 for the first year upon activation of your account. The standard annual fee, currently $399, will be billed each anniversary from card approval in subsequent years. An additional cardholder annual fee, currently $50, applies per additional cardholder. These fees are subject to change. Offer extended to 1 May 2024.

  9. Offer extended to 1 May 2024. New Qantas Premier Platinum credit cardholders only. Apply by 1 May 2024, 11:59pm (AEST). Your total balance transfers may not exceed 80% of your credit limit. The 0% p.a. interest rate applies to balances transferred within 90 days of card approval. The 12 month promotional period commences once the Balance Transfer is processed. At the end of the Balance Transfer period, the interest rate on any outstanding transferred balance will revert to the variable Cash Advance Rate, currently 21.99% p.a. You are not eligible for interest free days on retail purchases while you have a Balance Transfer on your account. This means while you have a Balance Transfer on your account, any further purchases will be charged daily interest at the applicable Retail Purchase Rate currently 19.99% p.a.
